Discussion About the incident The paper reflects on a scenario Law proposed against uploading violent images on the internet. According to the government of South Australia, posting violent pictures or degrading posts on the internet is considered as one of the serious offence. It is analyzed that if a person knowingly post some degrading or humiliating videos, posts as well as pictures of some other individual without having their consent then it will be considered as an offence as per the proposed legislation. The move was generally followed after a viral video was uploaded in the You Tube, which reflects that a student in a school ground tournament another boy of the school and then being picked up, and then thrown violently on the playground by the victim. According to Mr. Rau, only the legitimate purpose of capturing images, videos will be granted (Alhabash et al., 2014).The proposed law will charge any person who is found guilty in the procedure of filming as well as publishing the images. Utilitarianism Utilitarianism is referred as an ethical theory, which generally assists in stating that the appropriate action is considered the one, which helps in enhancing the utility. According to the ethical theory of utilitarianism, the government of Australia helps in elaborating the importance of the law that is mainly proposed against uploading violent images on the internet. The legislation that is proposed by the government against this law is considered very much effective in avoiding problems that generally occur due to humiliating or degrading images as well as videos on the internet (Cho, Huh Faber, 2014). The effective measure by the government not also helps in avoiding the problems that occur due to these types of act but also assists in tackle thugs against the people who filmed assaults and then posts them on the internet. The legislation proposed that if any individual were found guilty of posting humiliating or degrading picture and images on the internet of another person wi thout their consent then they would be punished severely (Joyce and Harwood, 2014). Thus, the decision that is taken by the government is quite effective in beating the problem that occur due to improper post as well as images on the internet. Deontology The ethical theory of deontology helps in stating the morality of a particular action that is dependent on some of the specific rules (Botha Reyneke, 2013). As per the ethical theory of deontology, the action, which is taken by the government, is very much ethical and it helps in resolving the severe issues that arises due to posting humiliating as well as degrading pictures as well as videos on the internet. However, according to Mr. Rau, only the legitimate purpose of capturing images, videos will be granted Recommendations There are number of recommendations that are helpful in resolving this types of activities. The recommendations include: Strict rules as well as legislation: Proper rules as well as legislation must be present in order to punish as well as penalize the person who is accused of the offence. Uploading videos or capturing degrading images must be avoided: Uploading or capturing degrading images as well as videos must be avoided so that these types of problems must be resolved appropriately. Humiliating videos or pictures must not be uploaded against the consent of the person: The videos or pictures must be uploaded as per the person who is associated with it. Uploading images or videos against their will is considered as one of the serious offence. Creating awareness: The people must be aware so that another person does not get the opportunity to capture any humiliating or degrading images as well as videos.
